Presentations

Facility Tour: “Engineering Performance from Raw Material to the Roof”

This one-hour tour provides an inside look at how we transform raw steel into the high-performance fastening systems essential to commercial roof integrity. You will follow the lifecycle of our components from raw steel to final packaging, observing the critical manufacturing processes that ensure compliance with global standards such as FM, UL and Miami-Dade.

1 AIA/IIBEC Credit

Station-to-Station Technology Round Robin

Each station will be approximately 10 minutes in length and will provide an overview and pros/cons for induction systems, adhered systems, mechanically attached systems and an overview and demonstration of 12×24 uplift testing.

Station 1: Induction Welding

Learning objective 1: Overview of induction welding technology

Learning objective 2: Pros and cons of induction welding

Station 2: Adhered Systems

Learning objective 1:Overview of adhered commercial roofing systems

Learning objective 2:Pros and cons of adhered systems

Station 3: Mechanically Attached Systems

Learning objective 1:Overview of mechanically attached roofing systems

Learning objective 2:Pros and cons of mechanically attached roofing systems

Station 4: Uplift Testing and Product Approvals

Learning objective 1:Overview of uplift testing and approvals, the testing entities and what approvals mean in practice

Learning objective 2:Actual demonstration of 12×24 test(we can’t take it to failure)
